• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyderpops Harvey was his usual knowledgeable, helpful self today. As witnessed by all readers of this forum, I have been having major problems with vibrations above 50 MPH!
He used his new electronic belt tensionometer and found that my belt tension was way too loose! I'm not all the way there, but huge IMPROVEMENT! THANK YOU HARVEY, YOU ARE A WONDERFUL ASSET TO US SPYDER OWNERS!

So, wher do you feel the vibration now?

Moved it up to where it starts about 70 MPH, but I can add more throttle, and "kinda drive through it and go to 80 or 85. May need to tighten further and definitely waiting for smooth spyder belt tensioner. Are you having similar problems?

On my bike, vibration started at 63, actually it is like grinding feeling, disapeared immediatly around 65 with very slight vibration after, then around 70 it is completely gone ( or may be don't feel it much because of my music is distracting me).

Great to hear that, Ron! My dealer told me that my belt "was within specs" but now I'm really questioning that. I'll be coming up to my 3000 service soon and hope they will "really check" the belt tension at that time. Do you recall what tension he set it to?

Let us know how it feels after the belt settles in a bit.

Happy Ryding!
