• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Forgive me,I know this has been discussed a bazillion times,....I just didn't see anything about foot-peg
Im getting a vibration mainly at the left hand foot-peg at approx 5500 rpm,(doesn't seem to matter what gear),mainly feel it at highway speeds at 4th and 5th gear, sounds like a belt issue?,Will this vibration hurt anything?

I have some belt harmonics in about that rpm zone; have never felt foot peg stuff. Check that pegs are tight. What tension are you running your belt @??

Check with cricket gauge, if it's within specks try loosening slightly, this will change the rpm that the harmonics are problematic. Don't go tighter, front shaft bearing replacement is major $$$

Your right....

Belt issue on the left side more so than elsewhere. Have a tensioner that helps, proper adjustment will also help and the best solution I have found is avoid that rpm range.. Seems you will always have some

Does the belt tensioner operate like an automotive belt tensioner? Does it always keep the drive belt at proper tension?
Thanks

I put mine on two weeks after I got my RS it's supper it's as much a carrier as tensioner just stops the belt from jumping around.:clap:jtpollock

Thank you all very much,I will check adjustment first. If Im still getting some vibrations,I can live with that,I just want to make sure Im not doing any damage.

p.s. how many pounds is belt tension set at?
