Very cold here today

Moving In!

Captain Fin,

I hope you have lots of room us northerner s are moving in with you:joke: as Soon as the snow leaves and the salt is off the roads we'll be back riding. We can only dream, and sit on the bike start it up and imagine riding. In joy your great weather.

Cold..!!

:agree: I seriously hope this poster was just pulling our leg. With the temps he is complaining about, I would be wearings shorts and flip flops !!!!!! :roflblack:

:agree: if he is not at least he may feel sorry he asked...:roflblack: I'm afraid to suggest heated gear for he may be well done at the end of the ryde...:roflblack:

Yea this weather is killer

I know what you mean... this winter weather is almost to much to stand Ieven have
to put on a jacket when I take a ride it's only going to be 70 today...BURRRRR

Its 57 this morning with a high of 61 degrees. Can someone tell me how to deal with this frigid weather. What are some good cold weather tips.

Hey six of the next ten days here in florida will be in the upper 80s so I think you can bite leather strap for a day or two. I rode in the 40s yesterday but opted to take a day off today when it dropped to mid 30s Can not imagine you will get much sympathy from our yankee friends (most of whom still have their spyders on blocks)

It's warmed up to 23 now; with a wind that's blowing so hard, that I can tell what the neighbors from four houses down are having for lunch! :yikes:

Thanks for accepting the blame

:opps: I'm sorry its all my fault for the cold weather. I arrived in Cape Canaveral, FL and brought the cold weather with me from Illinois. I had a layover in Charlotte, NC and they got a winter storm. :dontknow: I just can't get away from the cold :gaah:

Thanks for stepping up and accepting the blame. Most of the Northerners just come on down, and we welcome them, but they have got to remember to shut the door and keep the cold up North.

I wanted to make a comment along the lines: "You folks wear clothes when it gets that hot?"

but I wont do that. :roflblack:

I can send you the phone # of the #1 Carhart dealer if you want to get some cold weather gear though. They use that stuff on the North Slope where it gets lower than 50 (below:roflblack:) on a regular basis.

:roflblack:
:roflblack::roflblack: Truely a great post !!!!!!

Don't forget to buy an AR-15 so you can protect yourself from those floridians that think it's the beginning of the end because it's only 60 degrees!!!!! :roflblack:

Or perhaps for those dudes that were walking into that bar looking for him sometime back complaining about his spyder parked in a "motorcycle spot" :roflblack::roflblack:

Chris

:agree: :roflblack: That's when we'll be spiining and grinning, and you'll be spitting and sweating!

When it hits the '80s is when I take my jacket off! nojoke

Was in the '70s today and had a lovely ryde, kinda spinning and grinning behind some pokey bikers.:sour:

I am guessing that CapFin's comment was tongue-in-cheek. If I made a comment like that in my riding group I would come out to deflated tyres and a "Suck It" note on my windshield. Besides, it warmed up to 65 in the sun today at the Coconut Grove Arts Festival. So all was good in South Flarda as far as I could see!

I was not kidding

The oranges are freezing, people from Canadá are pulling their shirts off and dancing. Now those people from Canadá have very hairy bodies.
I did not ride yesterday, my blood has thinned too much from all the years of living in the tropics.

Blood thinning comes from alcohol consumption and Heparin use, and you don't look like a heart patient....ride today, as it will be 80+ in South Flarda and all the misaligned points of your Shakra will re-orient to their proper perspective. Anyway, orange juice is better chilled, especially when mixed with a nice potato vodka.....

Careful Cap; you're liable to start an "International Incident" with talk like that! :roflblack:

It might even qualify as a "Hate Crime"...

(Do I DARE say that most of the Canadian women that I know are pretty careful about keeping their backs shaved? :roflblack:)

LOL Unfortunately us Floridians get so used to the hot weather year round that when the "chilly" weather rolls around everyone goes into a tizzy. The women whip out their boots with fur and the guys pull on what some would call snow jackets :roflblack: I've been here in FL for 15 years; from Upstate New York and one does get spoiled with year round warm weather :P

I had 10 russians in the breakfast room this morning. They wanted to see the crocodiles. I sent them to the crocodile farm, told them that the farm feeds russians to crocodiles. I have not seen or heard from them since.

I did note when watching NASCAR yesterday that most people were wearing jackets. It's easy to see that it was cooler than normal for you folks. Cold enough for the citrus to freeze is never good. It affects all of us in the pocketbook.

Actually the citrus trees need a good bit of a chill (not freezing for more than six hours) to make the oranges sweet. It was a tad bit chilly here for a couple of days, but we've had some very warm winters the past two years.

Ya'll come on down for bike week and enjoy.

Chris
