• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hey fellows and ladies I have a 08 sm5 9000miles and had the dealer put updated pads on all the way around and the rear is making a very bad smacking noise going down the road i can hear it over my two brothers duals. Took brakes apart and put back together with no luck. i can grab the pad on the inside and can move the pad back and forth on the bolt. Not much but alittle so i am baffold any ideas? Thanks Bill

Sounds like an inferior brake job. Could be failure to properly clean the components, or failure to inspect for worn hard parts like the pins or caliper. The shop should stand behind their work. take it back.

The back brake pins showed wear when I had mine apart to inspect, like Scotty said.Took some emery cloth to them and smoothed out the ridges applied a bit of anti-seize to the pins and sprayed some brake de-squealer to the backs of the pads all is quiet.:2thumbs:

thanks but its not about cleaning or anything and there where new pins put in with the pads I ordered another set of pads from ebc so we'll see. like I said I can grab the pad and it has slop on the pin? so I will soon know and let you guys know.
