There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Well keep this in mind , the V- Tire people , when they decided to make tires for the Spyder used the " CRAPENDA " ( KENDA ) as their model. I just replaced a Arachnid Vee Rubber tire that had less less than 1000 miles for a Yokohama S Drive. The Vee Rubber had to much sidewall flexing when making turns or changing lanes and I didn't feel comfortable and safe with this tire.
Some members have reported good results with this tire on a 14 RT but it's not for me.

ARACHNID TIRES
I replaced the KENDAs on my 08 GS in January as they were readily available. The rear tire did not require any balancing weights and the fronts were about the same as the KENDA fronts for balancing weights. First 150 miles or so they felt unstable, after that they were fine with good traction. Time will tell for wearability. But they do mimic the KENDAs for specifications and that may not be good enough for the heavier RTs and such with two up riders.

:agree: I have the Kumho - great tire, cheaper then the crappy OEM tire and a Can Am dealer put this tire on my '08 GS SM5. The dealer was interested to have someone try a different tire then what the Spyders came with - so I was his guinea pig.
Now I just have to get away from the crappy Kenda front tires - I need to rotate them (and get a laser alignment) but I will wear them down and get car tires next. Then rotating left front to right front will not involve removing tire from rim.

You might be right! I've got one on the rear of my RT, with approximately 4,000 miles on it, it is wearing on the sides. I was running 28 psi, like the Kenda, but I guess it isn't enough. The Spyder handles great with this tire on the rear and Federal Evo's on the front that are more than ready to be replaced, approximately 25,000 miles on them. We ran into wind and rain on the trip to and from Spyderfest and I had no hydroplaning at all. That was my big complaint with the Kumho on the rear.
I have not decided what tires I will put on before the big Alaska trip.

I'm running Bridgestone Re-92 fronts... Absolutely fantastic. Toyo Proxes 4 in the rear (discontinued) which has been the best car tire I've tried. The Kuhmo sucks compared to other rear tire choices. I found the Kuhmo to be far to greasy on wet roads and hydroplaned bad.

I have the toyo p4 too got about 25,000 out of it and that's w lots of burn offs [emoji14] the wear is very even great tire when it has tread - night and day compared to pos Kendra tires
