• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My wife has an iphone that I would like to hook into my 2012 RT. I have the 30 pin to 7 pin rd that came with the bike. I bought the 30 pin adapter to fit the phone. I set the bike to aux and the phone to Pandora but still no speaker sound. Do I need something special to make this work.

No I haven't mainly because I dont know how to use an iphone , I have an android. My wife set the phone up for me and she uses pandoa.

The screen lock timer will have effects too. The radio can control the iPod function, maybe not the pandora app, so you should be able to select station on phone screen while plugged in & adjust the radio volume on bike.
( Should be able , sorry not tested yet)

Does your 30 pins adaptor you bought for your iPhone a genuine Apple one?
I know, from personal experience, that none Apple adaptor (for me it was from 30 pins to lightning) is not compatible and did not work.

I have a 2014 RTS and we listen to Pandora all the time. I turn my android phone on and then plug it in to the back plug, the one in the back trunk, and then go to the buttons and the handle bar and go to AUX and then press the button to listen to Pandora. This works all the time.

Yes, but you are most probably using the cable that terminates with a 3/8 jack. He is trying to use the cable with Apple connector.

I bought a 30 pin to the newer 7 pin adaptor for my 14 RTL to use a newer Ipod touch I bought and have been unable to get anything from it, wondered if it was the adaptor, since it was aftermarket, that wasn't working, or, if BRP makes a cable for the newer Ipods. My 4th gen ipod works great and I can read the playlists and music titles but apps like Pandora or Sirius aren't supported anymore for the 4th gen.

2012 RTS SE5, bought blue tooth adaptor from LAMONSTER.. I have android...
Plugged bluetooth rear trunk. Setting on phone to pair... Changed setting on bike. All works great.
Blue tooth in rear trunk phone mounted in front on dash.Life is better....
you could buy the adapter for rear trunk, either plug into speaker jack on phone. If want to get really creative. But additional speaker phone jack extension. Run cable from rear trunk to the dash. Plug into speaker jack on phone...
I like the blue tooth. So easy....
I switched fuse (Fuse box in Frunk) to allow continuous power to the cig lighter plug in rear trunk. Bought one of those cig lighter plugs that has USB connector... Now the blue tooth adaptor stays charged. Life is better...

bt settings

so if i already have my BT paired with my dongle will this additional work through the dash and sound system? so many BT ...life is complicated with pairing my phone then my media....guess I could pair it to my Zumo but that wouldn't show up on my controls either would it?

Power for the dogel is through the 30 pin audio cable. No need to change the fuse. Also your gps will work with this.
