• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

used spyders for 10 thousand $

in a indiana trader motorcyle magazine I saw an advertisement for dealer demo spyders for $10,000 for 08 & 09s

$10 for an '08 and '09 is way over priced. I got my used '08 in '08 for $10 and change

If you got an 08 in 08 for $10,000 you got a heck of a deal. I don't think $10,000 for them now is "way over priced" I think that is a pretty fair price depending on the mileage and wear and tear. Some may need to come down and some may even be worth a bit more than that. But if they are at a dealer and they are left over stock and/or demo with not too many crazy miles on them, I think that is a pretty darn good price.

+1

Aaahh ... missed the dealer demo part. That means low miles and carries full 2 year warrenty for the "first" owner. Well, I guess that's in line on the pricing. I was thinking private party sale which is going between $7-9K over winter.

I happen to stumble into a semi distressed sale situation with no available pricing reference at the time. Took the low ball approach (1/3 off list) with a stack of Benjamins and it turned out to be a great deal. I realize I got it slightly below the wholesale price when KBB updated their list in March '09.:f_spider:

Could be a good deal. Agree with debs take on this.

M2---- when was msrp for a GS at $30,000 ?

A third off list, not one third of the original price.

I did $14,995 plus the accessories and took a third off the top for depreciation. I got the Spyder in the middle of the winter so had to wait until the following spring to ride it.

PS. I have even seen a few who paid less than I did in '09.
