• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Used RT prices???

2 weeks ago we paid 16,000 for a 2012 with under 4200 miles.

Another dealer had a 2011 with 11k miles for 20,500. They have since dropped the price to 18,700. They were going to sell it to us for 17500, that's as low as they'd go.

Prices reflect SM or SE model?

I realized this morning that since they no longer make the RT A&C model our 2010 has become a collectors item and therefore extremely valuable.... just another reason to not trade down for the 2014 RT.:yes:

I have a 2012 RT A/C which I purchased new. 2013's were already on the showroom floor and the dealer had two new 2012's left over. He was offering $2000 off in addition to the $2000 rebate. The salesman actually steered me to the 2012 and away from the 2013's. Did he do it because they needed to move the 2012's, or did he do it because I was a repeat customer (I had previously bought 2 other motorcycles from him) and he knew the 2013's had issues? Either way I came out okay. From what I have learned since purchase the 2012's are the best Spyders out there with the possible exception of the 2014's. I have 6000 miles on mine with not a single problem, not even right side heat. Like some of you have said, I will keep it until at least the maintenance agreement runs out (3 yrs unlimited mileage) or until the BEST warranty expires (5 yrs).

Dem Grafficts

These things are toys that appeal mostly to a fairly well heeled demographic.

A characteristic of this demographic is that they want their toys new, not used.
This is why the price of used Spyders is where it is and is unlikely to move up unless it starts to appeal to a broader demographic.

Enjoy it.
