• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

USB Power Adapter Question

I would like to know if a 12Volt "USB Power Adapter Charger" that has 2 ports, would fit below the ignition switch( parking brake, heated hand grip heaters switch, Fog lights switch, adjustable shock switch) on a 2014RTS-SE6 :spyder2:?

I've also been thinking that would be an excellent place for some sort of power tap. But I'm primarily interested in powering a heated vest. Would a USB plug be robust enough for that kind of power draw? I'm more used to lighter plug-type sockets (e.g., BMW).

USB, no, as that circuit is 5VDC and limited to about 5 amps. You could get a panel mount socket from Gerbings or Powerlet and install it in the area. I've got two but haven't installed them yet.

You can get a dash mounted 12v that takes the place of one of your gauges or a 12v socket that mounts to the Dash Bar (RT only). And those links are to my Spyder Store.

Could some one give me the dimensions/size of the area, (where the Parking brake, adjustable shocks, Heated hand grips, Fog lights) switches are( below the ignition switch ) on a 2014RTS-SE6 :spyder2:. Thanks!

I have a 2014RTS-SE6 :spyder2:. I am thinking of putting a USB Power Adapter in the area.

Pierre at SpyderTV,one of the sponsors here sells a switch for that hole. You have to do a little cutting but it will clear ok.
