• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

USB Plug on Rocker Switches Console (Version 2)

On my previous :spyder2: I bought a part from Burnsmoto.com which I can connect to my battery (I actually got the SAE connector and hooked it to the Battery Tender's ring terminal harness that was hooked on the battery. When not in in the Tender, I would connect both and the USB cable would be "hot). I wanted to hook up the USB harness where the rocker switches console is, but I could not fit a square peg in a round pole literally. When I went back to the burnsmoto.com website again, I saw a new USB plug that would actually fit on the hole where the wired comm system would go. After a considerate amount of time and getting the console removed (not easy:opps:), I got the USB socket installed (had to expand the hole a little more) and it is wired to the battery. I can later wire it to an additional fuse box like Tricled's FZ-1 Fusebox.

Awesome, been looking to do this on my 2013 RT-S. Which USB plug at burnsmoto did you find that would actually fit in the console?

Just don't use the clamp. Make the hole bigger and it will tight in.

I have made adjustments to this mod. Now I installed another dual USB adapter where the gas gauge used to be (I am trying to find pictures... will post them later), and now my phone in on eye level with the dash thanks to JT's dash mount http://gnipsel.com/spyderstore/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=50, and power the phone with a coiled power cord.

My next project will involve moving the GPS to eye level with JT's dash, and thanks to Finless, I am going to run an extended harness that can power the iPhone and connect to the sound system.

Here is my setup

Dual USB on left, Analog Clock on Right
Eye level John Thorntons Iphone Holder
Dash level GPS Holder

GPS and I phone both plug into dual USB for charging and use.
