• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

USA Four Corners Tour

Has anyone done the USA four corners recently? I'm heading out July 22. For those of you who may not know the USA four corners are:

Madawaska, Maine
Key West, Florida
San Ysidro, California
Blaine, Washington

I think I spelled Madawaska right. I'm just wondering if there were any problems that you ran in to on the way, and what time frame did you make it in.

Thanks,

Have a safe ride. I noticed last year that no one has done it on a Spyder. I've thought about it, but the timing has not been right. You'll be the first -- congratulations.

How long it would take is relative. If you want to just ride to say you were in each of the cities, figure out an estimated mile trip and divide by 45/50 mph. You can get the estimate by using MapQuest. My wife and I went 13,624 miles on our trip around the states and some parts of Canada in 2009 on our SE5. It took us 7.5 weeks, but we smelled the roses as we rode along. There are a lot of historical places to see in the USA, so I would suggest, if you have the permitted time, to see them as you travel. If only the 4 corners is your goal, good luck.

If you want to complete the Four Corners Tour you have 21 days to finish. You also have to mail an envelope and gather some information at each corner. For this you get your name listed on their web site and a certificate. If you want to smell the roses, and forget the certificate, you'll have a great ride. Either way, be safe and have fun...

Sounds like a lot of fun!
Let us know when you're coming thru.... my office is just off I-5 @ exit 58.
By that time, you'll need a good stretch. I'd love to buy you guys a cup of coffee.

four corners

Did it a few years back on a gl1800. Did it in seven days. Didn't see much but had a great time. If I were to do it again I would slow down. I was in my iron butt phase back then.

You have 21 days to complete. It's plenty of time.
Enjoy the ride.
