• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Urgent: Oil Drain Plug size and type of drive

Just changing my oil for the first time at 1000mls and while the clutch drain plug is a standard metric allen key, I can't get anything to fit the sump drain plug. Any advice would be gratefully received. Thanks

You may be done....

by now but curious as to why you are/did change your oil at 1,000. The recommended first change is at 3,000 and every 9,300 miles after that (way to long IMO). :agree: agree on the torx wrench and changing the plugs to the dimple of gold. I prefer the dimple because of the flat magnets though they can be a fun to work with because the magnets are so strong they leap out of your hands and stick to any metal surface around...

Old habits die hard, I guess. Plus I want to see how it runs/shifts on fully synthetic. Thanks for the advice on the dimple plugs...will order some.

Sorry but I don't agree with you changing to full synthetic so soon. The whole point of using semi-synth. for the first 300 miles is to
get the engine parts to correctly bed in. This can only happen with heat and friction. Because Full synthetic is a great lubricant it can
actually interfere with the bedding in process.
Stick with what you have for the first 3000 miles and change over then.
