• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Upper belt guard

I saw this on an earlier thread, but no answer. How do you reach the nuts behind the upper belt guard in order to take out the screws and then install "the missing belt guard" from spyderpops? I can feel the one closest to the front of the Spyder, but not the one at the rear. Any help would be really appreciated.

I did it by feel, using a 10 mm combination or box wrench...or maybe a ratcheting box wrench. I don't remember for sure. It helps to hold your mouth right and give some verbal encouragement (i.e. cuss words).

Have to agree..!!

:agree: been a while but I know it was a bit of a chore. What I do remember is I replaced them with clip on nut like on the body panels so I don't have to do it again....

I use the round end of a 10mm wrench. Go in from the front and use your fingers to guide it on the bolt.

As stated above, to find the screw of the upper belt guard on the RT you will need to feel on the inside. Use a 10 mm box wrench. You will only need to do this once as Spyderpop's belt guard kit has the necessary parts to make the re-installation of the upper belt guard easier.

Thanks to all for the advice, got it done this morning. Pain in the neck getting the very front bolt back on, but boy I was sure glad that Spyderpops included the blind nuts to replace the 10mm stock nuts.

NUTS!

:agree: , Why would an engineer put nuts in a place that is almost impossible to get? And one more thank to Spyderpops for the nut clips they supplied, should have been that way to start with. :banghead::banghead::banghead:
