• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Update on my ankle

Well, I had successful surgery on my ankle the end of May to fix the initial repair that came apart. It seems to be working...everything is stable and the bone graft is setting in place. Still won't be able to put weight on it until late August but there's a decent chance I may be able to start riding again sometime in September.

Keeping my fingers crossed!

good luck to you. many years ago i broke my right ankle, it also dislocated and spun so my toes were facing backwards. they put it all back together and installed a 6 inch SS bar and 6 screws. on my job i climbed ladders for a living, and the plate held me back with that. so 1 year after the plate going in, i had it removed. to this day, i have limited bending in that ankle

the ankle is a very important body part

it keeps the calf away from the corn

:congrats: It's good to hear that the repairs are looking promising!
I'll bet that you'll be REALLY ready to start riding again... :D

I have been through 8 surgeries with my husband on his right leg / ankle over the last 4 1/2 years -- m/c accident in January 2012. The first two kept him off his feet four months, as did the bone graft in 2013 (another 4 months). The last major surgery (number 6) was an ankle replacement where he was non-weight bearing for only 2 months. It sucked for both of us .... but, as our friend Rayford says, "At least you had something to work with." (He didn't after his grandson was mowed down by a drunk driver).

So ..... as hard as it is, don't push it. Let your body heal and heal completely before you put ANY weight at all on your leg. Did they give you a bone growth stimulator?

All the best ..... Ann

I took a 15' fall about 13 yrs ago. Had 3 surgeries on the rt ankle for grafts and hardware and a bone growth stimulator. I have fairly decent range of motion now, but it stops me from doing a few things I used to love to do. Can't hunt anymore, it's just not worth the slips in the woods in the leaves and on the hill sides. Working on concrete all day isn't doing it any favors either. I'm not quite 50 yet, and I really hate the idea of having bum legs when I'm 75. Take whatever time is necessary to get it to heal...
