• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Update on me

People that know me on Facebook already know this but last week I was hit head on by a car while riding my F3 home from the dealer. I was heading west bound on a two lane road and a car was waiting in the east bound lane to make a left turn. A second car came up fast and slammed into the back of the first car, climbed up the first car's left rear quarter panel and veered into my lane. Nothing I could do to avoid it. I was launched off the bike, landed on the second car's windshield, and rolled off onto the ground. The last thing I remember is the impact, then I woke up laying on the ground.

Miraculously, I have no broken bones, no internal injuries, and no concussion. I attribute that to wearing the proper gear; it wasn't ATGATT (I was wearing regular jeans and fingerless gloves) but it was almost. I also attribute it to God saying "it's not your time, I have something else for you to do." I've got some road rash, bruises, and bruised ribs but all things considered, I'm in pretty good shape.

The kid that hit me accepted the blame and was ticketed by the police at the scene.

The bike is obviously a wreck. I had it barely a year and only had 4700 miles on it. Once I recover and the insurance settles I'll figure out what to replace it with. (BTW, ignore the brown all over the front of the bike. It's paint as I had stopped to pick up a gallon at Home Depot on the way.)

That has to hurt in so many ways. An unfortunate crash, myriad injuries, a fairly new bike totaled and the loss of a gallon of paint. The good news is you thankfully walked away. Do keep us posted.
It might be worth talking to an attorney to learn how you can extract a proper and just settlement. Surely, the pain and suffering is worth something.
Like you, I got scrapes and bruises when t-boned by a cell phone driver. My Victory also just suffered scrapes. I dealt with the property and personal injuries claims agent myself. The property agent wrote a check on the spot for the quote to repair the bike. The injury agent was a different story. He tried to low ball me, but months later, I got what I asked for. They need to get your claim off their desk and I delayed for for 5 months.

Darn your explanation short circuits so many good comments. Sorry about your F3 but so happy you were able to walk away. The Spyder can be replaced. Hope all the rash, bruises heal up quick.

Many prayers for you on going for a complete recovery. I trust we will see you, your wife and a new ryde at SpyderQuest. God is good.

Wow! Glad you are OK. Watch out for delayed effects - can take a while to manifest.

:agree: .. and don't be in a rush to get a settlement check, some injuries won't manifest for weeks - possibly months ..... prayers sent .... Mike

Being able to walk away basically unscathed, that my friend is a win. The material stuff can be replaced.
Glad you're OK.
PM sent...

Roger - Glad to hear you walked away with only minor injuries.
Rest and Recuperate. The bike can be replaced.
Prayers for a quick and complete recovery.

Glad you are still here , I'm still recovering from mine a couple of weeks ago myself. Hip is still swollen but the color from all of the bruises is mostly gone.

Get well and get back riding!

God has a Plan

:coffee: YES, I believe that God has a great plan for you.
I hope you will heal quickly and enjoy life as God would want you to have.

Remember keep looking up. .....

Your guardian angels were on full alert that day. Good advice above about not being so quick to settle. Praying for ya that nothing comes pops up in the future.
