• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Unusual Spyder parade entry

Here is what I think may be a unique use of a Spyder in a parade. This was the parade part of the Old Fort Boise Days celebration on June 14 here in Parma, Idaho.

The signs are:

The New and the Old

2013 Can Am Spyder

1931 John Deere Hit & Miss gas engine

1950s Ingersoll Rand Compressor

Pull the chain, Hear the sound

Mill Whistle, Old McCall Sawmill

The new and the old is the near new Spyder and the old stuff I was pulling with it. The engine was bought by my father back about 1931 and was used to pump water from the well on the farm where I grew up. The whistle was one of the several mill whistles at the sawmill in McCall, Id. The mill was closed down in 1979. Kids get a blast (pun intended) out of pulling the chain and blowing the whistle. This was one fun use of my Spyder! Oh, and the trailer is only 2 years old. I made it and pulled it with my 'Wing for two years. It has oak stake sides which I took off for the parade use.

Okay then...!!

now we have seen it all. Must have been a blast wish there was more..!! :2thumbs::clap::ohyea:

I was wondering this morning if my SE5 could go slow enough to be in a parade. I was in one with my GL1500 trike and it couldn't go slow enough. I was in and out on the clutch thru the whole route. Not a fun event.

That is a great parade entry where everyone is invited to run out and give it a tug for a toot. Great idea.

I didn't think to include these pictures when I posted. These are before the parade started. I corrected the date for the engine later.

You should have no trouble with the SE5. No clutch, no worries.
