• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Ok, I love my Sportster. To hear a lot of Harley-Davidson owners talk it seems it is the unloved stepchild of the HD line-up, being called a "starter bike" or "girl's bike". The thing is, after several thousand dollars in engine mods and aesthetic mods it is the closest thing to heaven in my opinion and I would not trade it for a bike 10 times its value.

Now my wife goes and gets herself this Spyder RS SE5 (which is the reason I joined the forum) and I cannot keep my butt off it!!:D I keep making up excuses to ride it. I definitely want to get me one of these rascals!!

once bitten ..........

i had two harleys sportster and a wide glide .... wouldnt trade my spyder for either one now .... just a fun vehicle to ride..... ....enjoy:D

I hear ya.

I hear ya Bapmopet. I am still going to get me a two-wheeler again because there is something about it that is pure pleasure but that darn "Spyder" really is a blast to ride and the attention I get on mine is kind of addicting. It's all about the fun isn't it? It is for me!!!

I haven't riden my FLHTC sense 08 when I bought my RS PE#353. I just bought a RTS. Having 2 Spyders now I know the HD won't see the road much anymore.

I know what you mean, I enjoy the spyder more than I enjoyed my Road king and more than my yamaha roadstar :2thumbs:

I don't know, the Spyder isn't for everyone... I just haven't been able to find that person! :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:

We just traded in our #200 RS and my ST1100 on a RT-SE. Now already..I find myself, once again, wandering the dealerships/Craigslist looking for something with one missing wheel.

Perhaps a used V-Rod?:shemademe_smilie:

Its okay to love more than one motorcycle brand. I love my RTS--but also love my Vulcan.
Oh, I do hope so! I could be called eclectic, at best, with several brands in the stable. What's worse is, if there was more room, there would probably be a bit more variety. :D

First time I have ever heard anyone call a Sportser a "girls" bike. I certainly would not say that. Must be a cultural thing. HD culture, that is! If I could I would have 2 wheels in the lineup for sure, and even though I'm told I can never have one, I have not completely ruled it out! :D

Traded my 2007 Ultra Classic in on my 2010 RT-S and haven't looked back. Now the question is "What do I do with all these Harley tattoo's?" :roflblack: (Still a closet H-D lover, though!)
