• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

UGH...Center tail light issues

The glue stuff dripped onto my tail panel all over when I was installing the center tail light piece, anyone know how to get it off? Looks horrible!

I would try soap and water first, with some scrubbing action.

If that fails, perhaps something like goo-gone or acetone may work - however, this may strip some paint from the panel - best try it first, on the backside of a panel to be sure it works, without damaging the paint on your precious Spyder.

Hope that helps.

ok...my ex was a nail tech....you can use acetone on a rag and rub it out......my best friend is a detailer and says to use Mcguires tar removal or STP tar removal to save the paint...use a wash cloth

Always start with the mildest product you can...and test in an inconspicuous place first, if possible. After soap and water, try the Goo Gone or WD-40. If that doesn't work, try a non-abrasive hand cleaner. If you have to go to solvents, try simple prep-sol (paint prep solvent or wax remover) first, then paint thinner (mineral spirits). I would not use lacquer thinner or acetone unless you want to destroy the paint!

:agree:
Yep mild to wild,

Soap, mineral spirits, emamal reducer, laquer thinner, acitone.

Acitone WILL remove the paint

It had just happened

It had just happened...I have a phantom so I was doubly worried! Anyway, gasoline worked...then used soap and water to get rid of the gas. Looks good as new! WHEW!
