In one day. 'Tis the season. Bruisersbaby and I did two toy runs today, First one was sponsored by a local HOG chapter. It was about sixty miles round trip. Had around 250 bikes at last count. What makes this so special is that it was BBs first extra large group ride on her Spyder. And she did an excellent job. About 10 minutes after we arrived at the destination of that run, we left for a quick lunch and headed out to the next one. It was sponsored by the Ghost Riders MC. It started out at one of the local watering holes and GR meeting place, and ended at a church about 30 minutes away. We only had 25 or so bikes in that one. Most of which were members of our riding club. At that destination we had our choice of a BBQ chicken or BBQ pork dinner with all the fixins'. If you live in NC, you know that this is also the season for church bazaars and dinners, so you know how good they can be.
There's at least three more toy runs we're committed to between now and Christmas. One of which usually has between 600-800 bikes. And probably at least three more we'll look at part participating in.
Oh yeah, there was another Spyder in the first run today. A white 2013 RT. We didn't get the chance to meet the driver. And speaking of Spyders, we also had the chance to see an old friend and Kris' former boss whom we haven't seen in years. Found out he was in a bad wreck on his original Heritage Soft tail two years ago. A driver pulled out in front of him. Broke his back, ribs and dislocated a shoulder. By the way, his nickname is Spyder. He's had this nickname for many, many years. A wonderful man and friend. I'll post some pics of his bike as soon as I can download them.
