• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Two questions for you. 2015 RT LTD

I drive a 2015 RT LTD SE6

1- I need to install one simple 12 Volt wire/fuse & plug to connect my electric vest to. On my old 2012 I was able to do the install under the seat as the battery connections were there. On the 2015 I think the battery is in the frunk. Is there any easy access point to pick power up from so I can connect wiring to the 2015 ?

2- On the Garmin 590 GPS I notice when it says to turn at a certain distance example 30 meters, the intersection comes up to turn but the GPS still reads like 10 meters until I turn however the intersection has come and gone than it reads zero distance to turn. Any ideas how to correct the GPS. I have updated the system so it is current.

Thanks for any assistance you can provide.

Don't know about the electrical wiring but my 590 tracks perfectly through intersections. Suggest you call Garmin. They are a very helpful bunch of folks IMO.

If the GPS is off by a little bit in it's distances to turns; it's still WAY better than my Missus at giving directions.
I think that it might have more to do with the number of satellites that it's connecting with, in order to accurately read your location...

You can pick up power directly from the alternator.
Be absolutely certain you put an inline fuse in the circuit.

Under Seat Wires

I am installing a fuse block under the seat and noticed that I have a wiring harness connected to the underside of my seat (red, green and blue). What is it for and can I use one of the wires as a switch for a relay?

I'm not sure if you should use that...
It's for the sensor that tells the bike that there's a passenger on-board, so that the bike can adjust the brake bias.

Wow, I had no idea it does that. I will look elsewhere for a relay switch. Thanks.:opps:
