• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Turn Signals in front mis-wired

Newbie here. The front turn signals are wired backwards, the rear ones are right. I'm thinking that there is a terminal strip where the front wires just need switching. I have bought a service manual, but haven't figured it out yet. Anyone know the answer off the top of their head or the page # in the manual?

Thanks.

It's pitch black here at the moment being 11:30pm so can't check on my own Spyder but my guess would be that the connectors will be in the fairing behind the clocks (speedo etc) as I know there are a few lurking there. They are pretty easy to get to so it's worth checking. You should be able to trace the wires from the mirrors/indicators and work out where they connect to. From memory they should be simple push connectors with a yellow springy jacket over the connection point (I may be thinking of the rear ones though).

The clocks are easy to remove and give you good access to that area. I tend to remove the fly-screen first, then the safety card bit which just pulls of and you'll then be able to see two places at the top of the speedo where you can use a screwdriver to pop the clocks out. This can be done without removing the screen etc but it just makes it easier, particularly if this the first time you've done so.

PistonBlown I think has it right. According to to the harness diagram. Both the left and right front turn plugs exit the Gage Cluster leg of the harness at the same place. I would think it would be easy to mix them up.

Easy fix..!!

Remove the cluster and switch the turn signal connectors. They are color coded, making you wonder how they got switched, coming out of the mirror support. Both manuals will show how to remove the instrument cluster and unplug it. You will have to reset the clock after reinstalling the cluster...

Thanks everyone, I followed your directions and found the 2 plugs immediately, switched and now they work right.:sour:

Piston Blown, just wanted to say that I was in Christchurch right after the "Big one" and experienced the good sized after shock. Spent 3 weeks in your country and loved it. If we ever go to hell, make room I'm on my way.:D

Had so many aftershocks now we're pretty blasé about them, don't bother getting out of bed for anything under a 5.6 now days :-)

Unfortunately 3 1/2 years on and most of central Christchurch still looks like this. Almost all the buildings have been knocked down now but the rebuild is only just getting going. It probably looks worse now than when you were here.
