As most ryders know, the directional switch on 2012s is a joke. My service tech mentioned after an oil-change that mine was sticking 'on' (duh!) and asked me if I wanted it fixed. I said sure, if it's a warranty repair.
IT IS! (They have to get it approved first, and order the parts.)
It's a 3.5 - 4 hr job, but mine was replaced Saturday. It now works great, it's always in the center so I can quickly turn it off without having to hunt for it first. The best part is that now the self-cancel is working fine too, even on shallow turns (but not lane-changes, of course). Before, it would only cancel after a full-lock turn... sometimes!
