• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Turn Signal Indicators?

Would it be possible to modify the mirrors of our Spyders to hold a small indicator facing the rear to let us know that our turn signals were working or had cancelled after a turn? OR put a larger light in the spot where the analog fuel & temp guage would go? Just curious?

We got ours from TricLEDs, and they work really well! :2thumbs:

Noticed a comment on one of the others about causing fast flashing on the "older" models.
Do you have them on both of your Spyders......without any disruption of the flash rate ??

TricLED Wide View Morror and LED Arrow.

I added a small strip of LEDs to the mirrors of my 2010, and everything still worked normally.
My 2014 has had a...... few more lights added. :D
The last addition brought me a bout of hyperflash. Easily corrected on the newer bikes.
On the older ones: you need to add a resistor in the wiring. Since I've never done it: you're best to get someone who has added them, to fill in the blanks for you... nojoke

I put one of these little buggers on each mirror, in the upper inside corner. They're 1/4" square, and adhesive. I got green ones and they are awesome and very simple to wire in to the turn signal wires inside the mirrors. One of my favorite farkles actually. Then of course Spyder Pops sells great wrap around led strips too.

Steve, did I give you those arrows? I know I had a set of them, But I don't remember who I gave them to.

Thanks Dwight.
No, you had offered me a set, but I had already installed these.
I had to slip them off and remount them over the TricLED wide view mirrors. The TricLED mirrors go over the existing mirrors. I had left additional wire inside the mirror housing, so I could easily pull the arrows out an additional 1/4"
I like the mirrors. They're not quite as wide view as their website indicates, but still a good upgrade, and I got rid of those damn spot mirrors.

You WERE kind enough to offer your adjustable wind deflectors when BRP installed the heat kit on your bike.
I have those in place and am very grateful.

Hyperflash is not so easiyl corrected. Have it on my 2014 RTL, and nothing anyone suggests, works. Tried everyone's idea, does not work. So not everyone will get this remedied.

Sure it works; I had to use the fix for hyperflash on mine...
Just be sure to view Lamont's video about it, and do EXACTLY as he says.

Turn signal Indicators

I did mine and my wife's bike with a short led strip that I purchased at Auto Zone , and it took about an hour for both bikes. I took the time and effort to solder the splices instead of just crimping.

What was the part from autozone ? also did this just go to the turn signal wire inside mirror? I like it, I need details

I bought the little red strip of led lights about 4 inches long, almost all of the auto part stores have them , you can find red or yellow ones. I then drilled a tiny hole in the mirror at the end of the light strip and fished the wire through the mirror and out where the turn signal wire comes out. It was a lot easier than it looks. You can make a little shepards hook on the end of a piece of tie wire and fish the wire out the hole. I then carefully split the wires on the original wiring and shaved the covering off so I could solder my wire on. It would have been easier to just cut the wire and splice all together but I wanted to not cut the factory wire into, so I shaved some of the plastic off . I then plastic coated the connections for a good water proofing. All that was left to do was to plug the connector back together and re-install the mirrors. Honestly it took only about an hour., and this is something I normally don't do, but I hated not seeing my signal light. this way you can see it even in the bright daylight and the cagers next to you can see it as well.
