• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

turn signal cancel

Just bought.... Dealer should fix, only question should be "when is convenient for you? "nojoke

Before you go to dealer, try unsticking the switch. When I activate the switch it seems to stay stuck on and so I pop it back to center. Then it cancels with no problem. Not sure what cleaner would work. So haven't tried anything. Just got used to popping it back when I use it.

I have the same problem. The tech at me dealership took it apart and cleaned it out. That helped somewhat, but it still isn't great. I have to check after a left turn to make sure the signal is off.

Same here...

Just bought a 2013 Roadster ST. The right turn signal does not cancel. Any suggestions?

My son in law has the same problem on the left. (RSS 2013) My daughter don't.(RSS 2014) I don't. (ST 2013).

So, some do, some don't but certainly fixable by the dealer by replacing the defective part. ;)

I stuck the hose of a can of wd-40 into the slot in the rubber seal on the turn signal switch. Shot a bunch of oil into it until it started leaking out the bottom. That was 3 years ago and have not had any trouble since.

So the RSS (2014) should have self cancelling turn signals? Mine does when making a real turn but not Lane change... Should it?

Will cancel after a normal turn but will not after a shallow turn or lane change. Also will cancel after 30 seconds of driving.

2014 sts

Mine will stick on right hand turns but if you center the switch life is good. Now when you turn left it will not cancel...at shop now I will let everone know what they find when and if I get it back.

Let's see....

There have been reports from time to time on this issue. In some cases a squirt of lube has solved it in others a bit of filing to keep the shaft from binding has done the trick. Now they all have self canceling turn signals but only on full turns and not on merges. Don't know which you are refering to , you can search the site for the solutions that were posted before...

:dontknow: Push in the button after completing your turn...

I've found that turning the button 'on' earlier on your approach into the turn will more often get you an automatic self-cancellation after the turn is complete...

That one's debatable. I've tested it several times and never had it cancel after 30 seconds. Other people swear that their's cancels after 20 - 30 seconds.

No need for debate. As long as the switch is not stuck. You maintain a speed of I think 3 MPH or greater. If you stop the count starts over and does not start again until you start moving again.

I had some issues with the earlier models, (2008, 2009, 2010). I just manually killed it as a matter of habit. The 2011 and 2014 work just fine.

My last 3 Goldwings had both cancel after turning and after 20-30 seconds but my ST only cancels after turning.
