There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Tupperware?

Showing my ignorance, but someone posted in another forum (with no responses, I think it was dead) that they use Pledge on the tupperware. Tupperware on the Spyder...

Does anyone know what that means? I usually take my baby to one of those wash bays and use the spray on low to get it all wet, then soap with a washcloth, and then put some more quarters in so I can rinse. I have Armorall for the black parts (I have the Cognac ST-S), but what is tupperware on the byke?

Please and thank you!

Tupperware = all the plastic panels ................Frunk = front trunk .................Trunk = rear trunk.............theses are the basics.......Mike :yes::yes:

MI would be careful about going to a car wash. Even at low pressure some electronics might be affected. Better to wash at home with a low pressure garden hose. The owner's manual specifically address this and says do not use high pressure washers (like the ones found in car washes). Even at low pressure you can do damage.

Since I come to this forum for advice, I will take that advice - thanks!

Works...!!

I have used pledge on plastic/tuperwear parts since day one. Love the lemon...:roflblack: there are others more specific like plexus and protect all but pledge is still on the shelf and I still use it...

Lemon Pledge is for yellow Spyders
I use Orange Pledge for my Cognac Spyder :roflblack:

I use Plexus. Gentle shower with car soap and wash mitt. On the odd occasion I polish with carnauba wax.

I use the hose, but only a light mist to get the road grime wet. Then a nice soft sponge with soapy water for the grimy parts. Bass boat saver to finish it off and polish. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1427629164.563906.jpg

I used Pledge, once, last year. I was getting ready for a trip with the Maryland Spyder Web, down the Blueridge . . . at every stop, my Spyder attracted bees! I don't use Pledge, anymore!

When it is really dirty, I wet it down with the BRP XPS Roadster Wash, wipe the whole thing down, then rinse with the garden hose on a fine mist setting. Finally, I use my leaf blower to blow dry it . . . no water spots, after that. A couple times a year, after the wash cycle, I use Lucas Slick Mist which seems to be the best product, to date. I've tried various Meguiars products, Plexus - they all work well, but the Lucas Slick Mist can be used on the Tupperware and on the windshield . . . it also acts a little bit like Rain-X, which is a plus, and I don't have to carry two products on the road.

Never heard of the Bee thing before. I have been using Lemmon Pledge on my Motorcycles, Cars, Airplanes etc for years and years. Last 15 years here in Tucson AZ where we have many swarms of killer Bees and never a Bee problem. Were you using the "Lemmon" Pledge or the sweet smelling version?

ok to ride in the rain?

so being that careful with a garden hose I take it not to ride on the freeway in the rain....hmmmm just a thought

Don't worry drive it in the rain and take a garden hose to it if you want. It is built to take that. Now high pressure water is a different matter. If you don't use common sense and keep the nozzle back, you will cause damage. The Spyder owners manual cautions against using high pressure water, but so does almost every other vehicle owners manual.

I read the manual a few times and know about the car wash...I was replying about using a garden hose...seems a little to careful just lightly misting it. or no water at all. I live in Wa and if water is so bad for it I'll never get to ride lol

Yep if you get your Spyder too wet it will shrink:yikes::yikes:

Then they sell them as remote control toys on EBay:roflblack::roflblack:
