• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

TSC traction control and actual 4WD (not AWD) question.

If I have my Jeep Wrangler in 4WD, what benefit is there for the TSC to be on? I ask because today we received quite a bit of snow, and when I was backing out of my parking spot (while in 4WD) I could see the TSC symbol flashing, and I turned it off. I can see the benefit when I'm driving in 2WD, just not in 4WD.

TSC will keep you from spinning the tires: if that's what you want it to do for you.
There's no real advantage in disabling it

But here's a thought:
What if you drive out onto a frozen lake, and the ice is perfect, smooth, and slipperier than snot on a greased marble floor?

If you give your Jeep any throttle: will the wheels even TRY to spin? :dontknow:

I would have it in 2 wheel drive. Reading up on it, you don't want it on when on ice, or stuck in snow or mud.

I agree: sometimes you need to get the wheels spinning a little bit...
But it IS useful in keeping the amateurs from doing something stupid! :D
