• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Trying to decide for my 15 RTS - Sway bar or no ….

I just gave up my 2011 RTS for a 2015 RTS. On the 11, I had the BajaRon sway bar, shock relocates as well as Elka shocks. My wife seems to notice the roll on the new 2015 and doesn't like it. I am trying to decide if I want to start investing $$ in the suspension of the 2015. Honestly ---- is there a "real" and not perceived difference in the ride roll after the installation of the sway bar. On the 11 the difference ws like night n day but for this new one, I really don't want to spend the $$ on it if the difference is actually very tiny or negligible!

Opinions please!!

That's funny that you should ask that today, we just bought a new 2015 Limited on Thursday from PitBull Powersports and drove home (240 miles) on Sunday, and when we got home my wife said that i have to go see Harvey (Spyderpops) and get a Bumpskid to protect the front end, but she also told me that it also needed the sway bar because she could really tell the difference (i had a 2014 with the sway bar that i traded in), I could also tell the difference but was amazed that she could as a passenger.

Larry,
Why not just ride it for a while, and see what you think? :dontknow:

I'm a HUGE fan of Ron and his products, but my 2014 handled pretty darn well without one of his bars...
But I DID add his front shock preload adjusters... :D

Little at a time...

try the small things first. Ryde a while, shock adjusters then if still needing go for the bar...I always install one thing at a time to see the effect if each one. If you do it all at once you don't know which really helped...

Last year my spyder was in the shop for 2 weeks for transmission problems. The dealership gave a 2014 to ride for he two weeks.
This year I bought a new 2015 and installed fox shocks and a sway bar also had a laser alignment done. What a huge difference it makes feels likeit riding on rails. No body lean in the corners Listen to your wife and get a sway bar.
Remember: Happy Wife ,Happy Life !:roflblack::roflblack:

I was torn too, about if I needed a sway bar on my new 2014 RT I picked up Valentines day. I rode a a couple of little trips through some twisties and on recommendation on so seasoned riders I took the plunge. Got the bump skid with the lights and the Sway bar from Bajaron and it definitely does make a difference. Before the steering was a little loose feeling to me, now it isn't. It's a personal choice.

Relatively new rider's opinion.

I rode my 2014 Spyder RTL over 2800 miles before I was convinced to install a Bajaron swaybar and links. After some research I discovered that my links were listed as "defective", so I replaced them and the swaybar at the same time. The difference in the ride is remarkable. I have to cross a bridge 2 times a day for work. On windy days the experience was just short of frightening. I got to the point where I would drive my car on days with moderate to high wind gusts. After installing the swaybar, I feel very comfortable riding the bridge on these days. I am very happy with the swaybar and my wife, who rides with me sometimes, feels much safer. To make a long story shorter, ride it for a while to get the feel of it, then install the swaybar, you won't regret it. You WILL feel the difference. And difference is great!!

get the bar.

Larry,
You know you need the better handeling.

With out the anti-sway bar upgrade there will be=======

Hi Larry,

Re: I really don't want to spend the $$ on it if the difference is actually very tiny or negligible!

It is a very simple question: Do you want the wife to be happy or not?

That's a no-brainer in my book,

That was my first farkle when I purchased my 2015 RTS. I was out riding one day before the new swaybar was installed and it was somewhat windy. The wind was pushing me all over the highway. So the very next day I ordered my swaybar from Ron. Now my Spyder stays glued to the highway when there is a wind to contend with. Also improves stability when passing a tractor trailer.
