• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Need a bit of help! I have two 2008 Spyders, bought one new - the other from "twodog". Rode yesterday and open the trunk. Then with a min or so I need to open it again. It will not release. Tried two people - one turning the key and the other pushing now. Tried everthing I know, oh it has electric opener on it as well. neither will work. Read on one post where some one pried the lid of an RT up, going to try that. any other sujestions?

I have an electric opener. You have to be careful. After I installed mine, and before closing the trunk, I operated the electric opener. The cable end jumped out of the fork assy (for lack of a better word). To prevent this from happening again, I closed the fork by squeezing it. I know this won't help to open your trunk; but, it's something to look at once you get the trunk open.

Got it open!

It is now open, easier to open than I thought it would b! hanger did not work but a long - 2' long - screw driver did! Pried it up from the right side, throttle side, and pushed the latch over! Now to fix the problem, the cable broke. so I am working on a way of holding the electric opener shaft in place useing the spring, hope I can get it twiked just right to stay in place!:2thumbs:

I guess anyone with a 2' screwdriver can open our trunks.

The way I look at it, the thing is only made of plastic. If someone really wanted in there, they could just grab the edge of the top right or left corner and give a hard yank and the lid would probably break into pieces.

Good thing you didnt have to try the Bushtec trailer opening method
