• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Trunk Part?????

THE THING THAT HOLDS THE LID UP

My trunk lid will not stay up. What is the part called that holds it up???? Shock, strut..........hard to be repair woman!!!:yikes:
It's a gas strut and someone will chime in with the Auto Parts store part number ........... it's less expensive than OEM & easy to replace ....... Mike

Was it staying up before and now doesn't? If so, then a replacement strut should solve that problem.
Has it never stayed up as long as you've had it? Then, consider adding a strut to the other side so there are two doing the job.

Honey, do you have anything mounted on the trunk lid? if not you can just replace the one or possibly adjust the mounting point. If you have added a luggage rack or something to the trunk lid that weighs it down, you might need to add a second gas strut
