• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Patti had a 2008 Smart car (we love it) :2thumbs:

Amyway a 2009 Barbus limited edition became available as somebody cancelled there order.

These cars were only available through a special order program and only a real 1500 were made not like like BRP 2500 Spyders.

Anyway,we traded her's in yesterday and got her the Barbus edition, I have to say the Barbus edition is a real upgrade for sure.

Anyway long story short, in our 2008 Smart car I had done the HID upgrade to all 4 of the H7 bulbs (both high and low use H7 in a Smart)

Well, after driving home the Barbus last night the first thing I am going to do to the car today is upgrade the headlights to HIDs! The stock lights are so much worse I can't belive it! (as Lamont says, I can't believe my "eye" LOL)

Now I had just drove our 2008 Smart car at night the day before, so how the lights worked in the same headlight set up was still very fresh in my mind. The differance between the two is hard to put into words, as it's something you have to see yourself to understand.

I know whenever someone who sells anything says it's "great" it is always taken with a grain of salt.

But I can tell you this first hand, the differance between HIDs and regular bulbs just has to been seen for you to fully understand just how big a differance it is.

If you don't believe me just ask anybody who has a set they can tell you for sure.

Our neighbor has one of these...he drives like a maniac in that thing. Are you going to get the GSXR or the 500hp Hyabusa mod?:D

We have xenon or HID on all our vehicles except the farm truck. We'd never go back to old style headlights.

They have several good vids of Suzuki powered Smarts on You Tube...the Smart racing the Ferrari is pretty funny!

does that car come with extra rubber bands and if so how many box's and what size are they ??????????????????????:clap::clap:

I tried to get MM to do that to the Smarty he just traded in!!!! That would be one hell of a go-kart!!!:2thumbs: Of course it would still need at least one turbo and a hit of laughing gas on that Busa motor to make it something I would want to drive:yes:. But then I would be going thru a set of rear tires every half hour!:yikes:

And also just replaced the wife's dim halogens with HID's in the minivan. HUGE difference!!!!! That's makes everything we own except for the leased Pickup has HID's.

Last year while I was picking up my S65 AMG they had a black one on display, it was one smart looking car but a bit too small for me.

Can anything be converted readily to HID? If so, do you look for specific kits, invent it as you go along, or use something universal? I'd love to convert my wife's HHR. If I could do it with my old Effie, I'd do that, too, but it has regular sealed beams.
