Trip to Seattle

We decided on a last minute Spyder trip from San Jose California to Seattle WA leaving early tomorrow morning.

We are planning to stop on our way up at Astoria OR for the night and next day to visit St, Helens OR and to continue driving up to Seattle WA.

We are looking for recommendations for a night stop coming down from Seattle back home, somewhere in south part of Oregon (we will be driving on I-5.

Ideas are welcome.

there are around 30 Spyders so far and it would give a good view of our wonderful State

When we came back from the Spyders in the Redwoods, we stayed at The Lodge at Riverside in Grants Pass:

I recommend it; nice big room, great view of the river, good restaurant on the other side of the highway, and close to I-5.
