• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Tricled RT Mirror Turn Signals

I want a pair

Those are the lights I want on my rt. Is there still plenty of room to move the mirror around.

There is plenty of room. A very easy install on the Mirror LED's. I do suggest just baring the wires and soldering inside the mirror. Putting connectors in there is a little much, just my opinion.
No more trying to see those little green indicators, you can not go wrong on these. They are very bright.

Question: Do you need to drill the housing to run the wiring? :dontknow:

They look GREAT! Those will definitely be going on mine! :2thumbs:

Question: Do you need to drill the housing to run the wiring? :dontknow:

There is some drilling to be done. But it is alot easier than taking the mirrors appart because the chances are you might break a tab and then need new mirrors.
The holes are small and hard to see. Only one on the corner, the rest are on the inside to let the wiring go thru.

One reminder ........................... be sure to drill the hole in the correct spot.

check twice ..... drill once.

They are nice lights and work very well.

Thanks! I had to drill the housing when I added them to the 2010; I wondered if they had come up with a different way to skin that cat...

Untitled.jpg When I added a short string of LED's on my 2011 RT, I was able to run the wire behind the mirror without drilling a hole.

I tried that method and got close... just couldn't get the wire to go all the way through with what I was using for a guide. I eventually gave up. Might give it a shot again later this winter. What was your trick for feeding the wire through?

I need to recant my previous claim. I just went and took a close look at what I did a year and a half ago. I did drill a 1/8" dia. hole through the black plastic on the side for the wire to pass through.:opps: Senior moment!

:gaah: For a moment; I thought that you had stumbled upon the "Holy Grail" of Spyder modifications: no-drill additions to the turnsignal system! :D
