• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Trial run camping trip with the dogs

To those of you who camp with your dogs: do they sleep in your tent (or tent-trailer) with you? Or in their trailer?

Just curious. I'm thinking a large dog or two wouldn't leave a lot of room for the people!

Patti,
It doesn't matter at all what size dog you have :D. When you share a bed with them; they're ALL the size of a horse! nojoke

OK, call the Thread Police!!

I'm amazed at how many of you big, tough bykers have itty bitty sissy dogs! :lecturef_smilie: Bob ... Tinkerbell?? However, Kaos can keep his Man Card with that great dane!

I must confess, my wife has had a series of Bijon Frise (French for cute and dumb) with names like Sugar and Buttons.:opps:

Was that trailer always a pet-carrier or was it modified?

Welllll, maybe not quite. I raised my orphan foal in the house for awhile back in the 80s. 100# the day he was born. Used to watch Johnny Carson with us, etc. YOU'RE the pet in the sack with a snuggle buddy that big. :D

:D I've got to admit: a picture of that would be priceless!

He was born in '84, so no digitals then. I did used to run 4-5 rolls of film to the quick photo lab at least once a week, so I've got tons of pics, but nothing that I've transferred to digital format. He was a doll, though. And turned into a fabulous riding horse and bestest of the best of life's partners.

Those of you who do tow, do you worry about your furkids sniffing exhaust fumes all day?

We have three medium/large dogs, combined weight just over 200lbs. I'm afraid two up and towing a pet trailer might be too taxing for the Spyder. But they do enjoy their rides in the convertible though.

I've considered it, but we are not in stop 'n go city traffic with them; that would be a concern. I believe that in open countryside, even small towns, what they are breathing isn't much different from what the rest of us are breathing and that's rarely an issue.

I realize there may be more concentrated exhaust at the trailer from the tow bike, but I think the roof vent is sucking in clean enough air when moving and there's plenty of air movement through the trailer.

Great question.
