• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Trailering a Spyder RT

We are trailering a Spyder and a Victory in a 7x14 enclosed V nose trailer. We test fitted them today. We have to load the Spyder first, nose first, then slide the rear over to the left of center to place the Vic next to it overlapping about 2 foot or so. The manual says to tie down front wheels pulled forward. We cannot do that. The question is, is strapping thru front wheels pulling rearward while strapping rear wheel pulled forward going to accomplish the same damage free result as the reverse procedure in the manual??

I would be careful, The pivot point (geometry) of the rear swing suspension may allow the spyder to bounce up and down during transit. This could result in a number of unfavorable conditions.

Just my opinion, nothing more.

I have the Ultimate Trailer. Easy to load/unload, tows well, and good job of protecting the RT-S.

If you have the extra $$$$ the Ultimate Trailer in my opinion is the best, so easy to load/off load. Spyder will ride on air and tracks the best I have seen on any trailer out there, many time I have forgotten it was behind me while doing over 90mph. The big bug shields up front does an amazing job not only keeping bugs/stones off your Spyder but its an invisible rain shield as well as it does a good job keep a lot of road water off the bike.

I agree with burg650, our Ultimate Trailer is a dream to load and tow a Spyder or even my 2-wheeler when I had it. I even tow it with a Prius, which has a zero tow rating but has no problem going, stopping and turning with a Spyder back there.
