• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

trailering 2 RTs at the same time

Has anyone hauled 2 Spyder RTs at the same time? I am trying to figure out the plans for a trailer that would haul them, one forward and one backwards. End to end would take a 19' long trailer [too long]. Perhaps the bikes could be side loaded. Am open to suggestions. If you have pictures it would also help.

Only help i can be is if you haul one backwards ........................... take the windshield off first.

Many have varing opinions on hauling a machine backwards on a open vehicle/trailer.
I just do not care for the idea. Not only things breaking off, but when they do and cause accidents on the highway. I believe if something comes off your vehicle and causes a accident you can be held responsible.
My suggestion would be a "landscape trailer". Long but reasonablity light for its size.

Some have had said they have had luck with a 17' trailer. That's cutting it very tight. I haul ours in a 20' enclosed trailer. If you haul b/b it gives you more room. Like others have said, if you haul backwards, remove the windscreen.

The RT is 105" long or 8 3/4 feet. That's 17.5 feet total.

2 Bike Trailer

We sometimes haul our two Spyder RT's on a car hauler. The front bike is parked on the diagonal and the second bike is parked straight on nosing into the first bike. We remove both windshields even though we have a "nose" cover on the trailer. We pull with a Dodge Ram. No problems over course of 3 years now. We put the first bike straight on the trailer and when it is in place, we skid the tail end sideways until the bike is on the diagonal. We have spray painted lines on the trailer to show where the tires are to go so each time we load them, the bikes end up in the same place. It takes us about 15 minutes to load and tie down.

tHANKS FOR THE INPUT. I did not consider the strain on the windscreen going backwards. I just got a 30' motor home and figured that a 18' or 19' trailer would be like a train. That may be the way to go even though it would be long. By using the motor home, we could take our 3 small dogs with us and have the spyders for scenic travels from campgrounds.

Take a look here..................

I can't remember who posted a picture of their 2 Spyders on this trailer. Think it may have been Bruiser but not sure. Whoever it was said they purchased the 18' car hauler one with side rails. You might check with Phil (that's his handle on SL). He was interested in one also and may have checked into it more. Phil is in Texas and Kwik-Load is in Sherman.

THIS IS POSSIBLE

2 :f_spider:"S on a trailer .....It's actually possible to get two RT's onto an aluminum snowmoblie trailer ......But they have to angled and one has to backwards ......This would be for a normal 10 ft long X 8 1/2 ft wide model ........however you can get them at a reasonable up-cost in a longer length.................just throwin this out there ...Mikeguyver

That was me:

Its an aluminum deck Kwik-Load with the full length side rails for tie downs. 18ft with fairing on the front. Trailer was originally designed to haul my GT but worked GREAT for the Spyders. Easy drive on loading with the roll back deck.
