• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I don't know about the rest of you but i always have trouble with the pins on my trailer tongue, they always are a lot of trouble pushing them in and trying to open or close the tongue stand, so I figured out a simple solution as detailed below.

This is a trailer tongue stand off the trailer, the two pinsets (on Left) are what comes standard on the stand. I eliminated them completely.

the "coupler snapper Pin" (the official name) is a 1/4" X # 3 1/2" pin with a safety catch wire (retail $2.99).

e.jpg When the stand is attached to the trailer, you simply use the "coupler snapper Pin" in place of the original pinsets.

the same "coupler snapper Pin" is used in either the open or closed position.

it is extremely easier than the original setup.

OK ..... Now the naysayers can tell me why i should not do this.

I wish someone had shared that with me a long time and a couple of pinched fingers ago

Nothing wrong with that pin. It is exactly the same as the one I use to hold the retaining collar in place on the bulldog hitch on my 6 x 8 utility trailer.

I’ve had mine set up like that for years and I also have a strap that we attach to the tongue to pull it around with. If you just grab the tongue it is easy to scrape the heck out of the underside of the trailer.
