There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. I bought mine from Northern Tool three Spyders ago and have logged thousands of miles without one issue. It is their 5.5' X 10' model. Just drop the rear gate - drive on - strap it down and off you are to anywhere. I bought two fiberglass chocks at WalMart (under $10) and bolted those to the floor for the front wheels. the trailer sells for around $1,100 but they have them on sale frequently. there are a tons of trailers on the market for toting your Spyder around but this one beats them all on pricing and versatility, etc. good luck...

If you're looking for a trailer to tow with the Spyder, we have an Aluma motorcycle trailer that we towed behind our last GW and have had zero issues with it. probably have 40K of wear and tear on it. If you want a trailer to haul your Spyder, don't know about that because the last motorcycle I put in a trailer, was a race bike, because I ride my street bikes where ever I need to go. Good luck in finding what your looking for. Mad Mac:doorag:

TRAILER AND TIE-DOWNS

Hello, lis and I are Looking for a trailer that you owners own and recommend.

I have found that the easiest, quickest, most secure, and Guaranteed not to damage anything, " Tie Down ".....is a ratchet with a nylon strap over the rear tire ( in-line with tread ).....if you chock the front wheels front and one side ( each tire ). It will NOT move and will NOT damage anything ...... and once the Spyder is on the trailer it will only take 5 min. to secure it .....Plus it only costs about $10.00 for one heavy duty strap ..... look on E-bay for this seller Discount Ramps ..... they have lots of choices for straps at low prices ...... Spectacular Spiderman, any electrical issues?

What hitch are you using?
Thanks again

got it in dec. so i haven't used it yet, i have it hybernating in the garage. i have the factory hitch & wiring for a '13
RTS. i did 2 months of research before buying and talked to many companies including an hour on the phone with
mini trailer and letting them know what hitch & wiring i have so theirs can be plug & play. wasn't scared of spending
money as long i get what i want.
Quality is what i want.

I bought a used ALUMA (older model) with maybe 12k miles on it. No issues, very room, a basic aluminum box. I was pleased that when one of my tail lights broke, I was able to buy a replacement from Aluma even though they've changed them some on the new models.

I also purchased an older 2004 Aluma trailer, with unknown miles on it. Had to correct the wiring to a square 4 connector, had a 5 pin round connector plus had to remove the convertor. Installed LED brake lights, repacked the wheel bearings. This past summer took a trip with friends and pulled the trailer over 8000 miles with no problems. I have the BRP trailer hitch and module on my 2015 RTS Most of the time, I didn't even know it was back there.

:agree: Ricky of Mini Trailer provides great customer service to the point of losing money. I was going to buy the Prowler at 32 cubic feet, but after discussing it with Ricky he suggested the Voyager at 26 cubic feet based on my intended usage. The Prowler was a $100.00 more.

Lenlis, thank you. I sent you a PM with the name of the manufacturer, as he is not a site sponsor.
As for the wheels I got it from Wrap My Spyder that is a site sponsor.

If your trailer needs a 5-pin connector, I recommend the one from Big Bike Parts. It is electrically isolated and provides a separate signal for the brakes and each turn signal.

RT Trailer

Lenlis:

I don't know where in PA you live but I bought mine from a place called Kompact Kamp. The are located east of Hershey in Myerstown PA.

Excellent price and service. I am pulling it behind my 2015 RTL and have already towed it down thru the Smokey Mountains and it towed fantastic. I am running the show chrome hitch, a lot less expensive than the Can Am hitch.
