Trailer Hitch for '14 RTS

Need to get a trailer hitch and I have seen prices vary as much as $200 in price. What do I need to get? Wiring is no big deal on the coupler. I know they have their "proprietary" plug-in. I'l just splice and put a regular 4 way on it. Universal trailer wiring is: Black = ground - Yellow = Left turn - Green = Right turn - Brown = clearance or running. Way to remember it Yellow has a (L) for left and Green has a (R) for right. Anyway, that is the standard 4 wire trailer set-up. No telling what this is!

You will need a wiring converter because the spyder has separate turn and brake lights. The factory hitch is more $$ but worth it because it comes with a "plug and play" wiring harness. Consider it! (ebay $420.00 to your door)

That wiring setup is the same setup they use on a Geo Tracker. Had to wire in an adaptor for that one. Hey, can you post a link for the ebay hitch?

I got my hitch from one of the SL sponsor vendors, Value Accessories. The sell the Big Bike hitch which has the same basic setup as the BRP using the rod through the axle. I bought a Can Am BRP hitch and harness and Looking at the instructions for the one ValueAccessories sells WOW you can actually read them and it seems pretty straight forward. The paper BRP sends you with there $500.00 Hitch is a Total waste what a joke. Sometimes this company impresses me less and less. :banghead:
