• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Trailer for Two Spyders

I need recommendations for a trailer to tow our 2 RT-S. We currently have the Ultimate Trailer but that hauls only one bike.

We use an aluminum deck Sloan Kwikload trailer for our 2 RTs. Its a roll back deck trailer. Think flat bed tow truck with the roll back deck mounted on a trailer. The one we have was designed for my GT but added additional tie down points and it loads the two RTs, both facing forward very easily. Super easy to use as there are no ramps to deal with and the angles are very gradual, as I said, it was designed for my GT which is MUCH lower to the ground than the Spyder.

If You a New Trailer

If you buy a new trailer are you going to sell your Ultimate trailer. I would be interested .
Thanks,
Fred

We will sell it. Can you give me your email address and I can let you know when we are ready to sell. Love this trailer! We live in Maggie Valley NC

Snowmobile, aka, powersports trailers work the best IMHO. They have a sharp v-nose and drop down doors front and rear. The front door is nice if for no other reason than it makes it very handy getting at things in the front when all is loaded.

My trailer is a 7' x 18' with a 5' nose for a total of 23' in length. It was built by Nashcar in Allegan, MI. Unfortunately they have gone out of business (better at building trailers than running a company). The best trailer money can buy is a Legend, also built here in Michigan on the east side of the state. Another good brand, R&R Trailers are built in Three Rivers, MI. Triton is also another good brand built in Ohio, I believe. I've owned all of these brands at one time or another.

You should have no problem getting your two Spyders in a trailer of this size.

be prepared!

Be prepared to have load balancing issues - with just the two RT's there is no way to load the tongue heavier. We have a 22' Carmate enclosed trailer that we purchased used. We added a sway bar assembly on it and good trailer brakes and that helped alot. Happy hunting for your new trailer!

This is my Sloan quickload trailer with both spyders on it. I would have to say its probably the easiest to load.

I have a Tommy Trailer aluminum trailer but want an ultimate trailer as we only have one Spyder now. It is for sale in the for sale section forum. I will bump it and I am dropping the price to 3000.

It is loaded with everything I could get. I has three ramps and I used to tow two big trikes on it behind my RV. It has an additional plate up front that will allow you to back the first Spyder in almost all the way to the tongue. The second Spyder would easily be pulled up facing the first one. Two of the ramps stow into slots back in the rear. The trailer is aluminum to make it nice and light and no rusting.
