traded in FJR1300 on 2014 RT

Greetings,

I placed a deposit on a 2014 base RT manual trans today. The local dealer didn't have that model in stock so they are bringing it in from another dealer and delivery is scheduled for next Friday!
I am trading in 2005 FJR1300 which has been a great ride, but my wife would never ride with me. The three-wheel stability of the Spyder RT promises two-up journeys...

Just wanted to say 'hello' and I hope you enjoy the holiday weekend.
It's wet here in New Hampshire this weekend, so no great loss that I can't pick up my new RT until next Friday - but I am itching to go for a ride

Welcome John!!!! I had an 04 FJR 1300 and put 13,000 mi on it in 8 wks w my daughter on the back of it / Great bike !!! My wife was in a bad car accident 4 yrs ago and can't take gettin tossed around on a motorcycle anymore.. We took a test ride on a Spyder and she said we need one of these So after over 800,000 mi on motorcycles,, I proceeded to sell all my bikes and bought a Spyder.. #NOREGRETS Here's to new adventures

I bought a 2013 RTL so the wife would ride with me, she wouldn't get on 2 wheels.

After putting 1,300 miles on riding on the back last fall she moved to the front seat for the first time on March 29. She has put over 1,500 miles on it and has passed her road test for her license.
She has made it very clear who will be riding in back if we ever go two up. Fortunately I still have my two wheels.

I picked up the Spyder RT this afternoon. A few rain showers to deal so she got a bit dirty on the ride home. Black color shows everything!
My wife and I are planning our first road trip for tomorrow.
