• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Traansformers? Don't bother!

There are pleanty of "kid" movies that have a plot and entertaining for adults young and old. I just think that they could have put more thought into some dialog rather than "well lets just add another robot fight scene".
I have taken my son to many kid movies that I figured I would sleep in only to be surprised in the hidden adult humor.
They missed the mark. I am guessing people are rating it higher just because of the CGI and the very nice looking actresses. Young enough to be most of our daughters BTW!

If you didn't watch the cartoon in the 80s, it's hard to comment. These movies are supposed to be like the cartoons, which they are...even the voice of Optimus is the same guy who did the voice in the cartoon!

They had to pack a brief story and tons of action into 30 minutes, back in the day...now they pack a brief story and 2 hours of action...

This is like one long cartoon and for those who grew up watching it...this is what it was like...and we loved the cartoon for that...

GI-Joe will likely be the same way...who cares...it was a fun trip back then and the movie, I'm sure, will be tons of fun!

Critics are not in touch with us simple 'middle Americans'...I didn't go to see Transformers expecting an Oscar winning presentation...I went, in some ways, to re-live the cartoon I used to watch as a kid...and for that, it was well worth it!

:agree: bone crusher it's just a chance to relive your childhood. Who cares what those movie reviewer guys think. They give high praise for the artsy fartsy films and that is just their opinion. I went in knowing it wasn't going to be an academy winning film, just pure fun. Take a look at the Harry Potter films it pleases adults as well as children and made hundreds of millions and yet it is not recognized like Gone With The Wind. Its just a movie enjoy it for what it is. Now pass the popcorn please.:popcorn::popcorn:

I'm withya...and a large popcorn on the way...

I did not grow up watching the cartoons but I did enjoy the first Transformers movie better than this one. This was okay but I think they tried to hard with some of the site gags and sexual innuendoes. It just didn't add anything to the overall storyline. That is the other thing, there was a stronger storyline in the first movie and I think that is why I enjoyed it more, too much straight out robot fighting in this one. For some people, that is what they want and that is what they got. It was okay but that is it for me, just okay.

Bah, you old foggies wouldn't understand. :) I grew up on the cartoons. I thought the movie was decent minus too much comic relief. The first one was definitely better but at least we got to see Optimus kick some decepticon ass!

Also, I could watch Megan Fox fold laundry for two hours.

I give it 3 outta 5 stars.

I,also, grew up on cartoons... Mighty Mouse and QuickDraw McGraw!!

"I ll do the thinnin' rouind here, Bobalouee!!"

Color me a ol' foggie who liked it. Megan Fox is the Kats Meowwww!:2thumbs::D

I for one loved TF2. Just saw it this afternoon. It was exactly what I thought it would be. Two and a half hours of mindless fun. Saw it at a RAVE theater, digital sound and picture, fantastic. Parked the Spyder in front of the theater, got a $10.00 parking ticket. Worth every penny. I will also purchase when it comes out on Blu-ray. Just for the record, I never watched the catoon and I am 54 years old. A big :2thumbs: from an old guy.
