• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Toyo Proxes T 185/55-15 up front - I'm in love!

Rattlebars

 These Toyo Proxes T 185/55-15 tires go where you point them. Sounds odd, right? Well, compared to the Krappy Kendas this bike ships with, it isn't odd. With their checkerboard tread pattern, the Kenda would go everywhere, especially when you needed to brake quickly. If you got on a road that had a little character, they wandered badly. They would follow every dip, patch and hole they could find. Not the Toyo. Rock steady unless you get on a really really bad road. They are fat. I had to shim my fenders toward the bike some (thanks Mike!). On the right side I needed two stacked 3/8" lock washers and it moved the fender in about .20" only putting the shim on the front brace not the back. On the right, one 3/8" lock washer for .10" up front did the job. The tread pattern is a good match for my Kumho on the back.

These Toyo tires roar in the turns. It's like an early warning system for the nanny. If your tires are roaring, you're just one step away from having her step in and spoil your fun. But while they roar, they stick to the road like glue. I'm still experimenting with pressures. I run 20# right now. I've been busy and can't ride too much. I also need to balance them for speeds above 60mph. The guy that mounted them didn't have cones small enough for my new PP wheels. I'm ordering dyna beads which worked well for me on my wings.

Don't ask me how I know the following... If you have extra fender lights and wiring along the front fender pipe, make damn sure you have the wires pulled all the way toward the bike outside the fender zip tied & taped away from the tire to the max. Those little 3 conductor wires cannot take a joke.

Yep-a-roo  I've posted quite a few times how STICKY those Toyo's are ( and the washers needed to make that size fit ) ..... Concerning the wires ??? .... did you put them UNDER the inside plastic piece on the underside of the fender ( I have BASIC fenders & it has that piece ) ..... I see you also noticed the EXTRA traction gets the attention of the NANNY - VSS ..... Mike

Yes, under the fender piece. The tire was rubbing that piece and putting the shims in place fixed the rub. Unfortunately, I'm partially deaf from the war courtesy a chi-com grenade or two. When I spun the tire, I didn't hear the minor rubbing sound. I thought it was just the pads on the brake disc. It was the tire rubbing the wires! I had done a poor job of routing them on the inside of the pipe toward the Kenda tire which had plenty of room. After performing brain surgery with a soldering tool, I managed to route them all to the outside of the fender toward bike using the little welded wire guides bUrp was nice enough to supply on the pipes. I added some harness tape to them making sure they would not migrate back and all is well. I only shimmed the front fender frame. The back I left stock. This added some extra distance to the front part of the interior fender plastic.

2.5 oz of beads in each tire took away any imbalance issues with the Toyo Proxes T 185/55-15 up front. Beads only, no other weights. Smooth as glass now.

Little hint on adding beads:
