• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Towing Rings for a Spyder

Help. Someone posted a photo of towing rings attached to the
“A” frames of a :spyder2:. Where did they get the tow rings? Did
they attach at the lower bolt of the shock absorber?
Was the stock bolt replaced??

Any help in finding the original post is appreciated.

No idea must have missed that thread or on some other forum , only proper way to tow a spyder is on flat bed! The transmission can handle pushing for short distance but needs more rpm from engine otherwise you'll damage! :yikes: Why are you asking about tow rings, instead of the roadside service??

I agree.

NOT FOR TOWING------ TOW RINGS

David C....... Like Ann said look at Post #9...........But those rings are used for tie downs NOT FOR TOWING......and wouldn't use that either see Deanna777 post about tie-ing down a Spyder.......Mike

I saw a set of those on a gentleman's RS at a gas station. I would prefer to call
them tie-down ring bolts. They replaced the lower shock bolt, and as a tie-down point
were pretty darn smart. Towing ?? I'll pass on that.

Towing Rings

Thanks for the replys.
I don't plan to tow. Just need a proper place to attach straps
to get the Spyder onto the trailer.
