• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Touring with an "08" GS

I have just turned 90,000 miles today on our Spyder (and all on one motor, Doc:roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:). Any way the pics. show how we used to travel before getting my 'Lil Caboose trailer. We were able with the Corbin bags and the trunk to pack enough clothes for a week by rolling the clothes very carefully...but no matter how careful we were after the clothes were worn they just didn't fit as well going back in!:dontknow: However the trailer just makes it so much easier to pack and actually carry suitcases and tools and still have enough room for the wife to do some shopping.

Here are the pics.

In 2011, I did a 3,600 mile trip in 6 days on my 2008 GS. I had most of the Spyder Pops aftermarket products installed and had a pair of soft saddle bags. I did 1,160 in one day with no issues.

Givi V35 sidecases, V46 topcase, tankbag, and frunk. Packed for two plus tent and sleeping bag in the big dry bag.

Hello rworell,
All stock 2012 RS SE5 and rode over 12,000 miles around US. I'm 6'1" so the stock seating is perfect. I bungie strap my 1.5 sleeping bag and 1 person tent on passenger seat. Excellent performance all the time. The design & mechanical performance of my can am is far superior to all the bikes and brands that I have owned over the years, knock on wood. Only add on - I put an extra key ($1 hardware store copy) in a magnet on the oil tank in case I lose my key on the road. My $1 key won't start my can am but it will allow me to get into my frunk and get computer chip key. There is a spyderlover post on how to do the oil tank/magnet/plastic tie down process; I haven't lost my key but I see my back up key every time I check oil. Also, with stock, I can get a 14.2 quarter mile run @ 96 miles an hour. Improving my time right now is all about improving my rookie drag skill set, lol
