• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Our first has come and gone but it stayed on the mountain elevations. Mixed rain/snow by the next week end--they say.

Its been a little nipply down here on the Florida Panhandle lately with temps at night down in the 50's and day time temps in the 70's to low 80's, perfect temp and dry forecast for the fall Thunder Beach Motorcycle Rally starting on Wednesday the 21st to Sunday the 25th. The only white stuff I see here is sand 99.9% of the time and 2 years ago, it did sleet here and it remained until around 9 am when it started to warm up.

I do know these temps are perfect coming from CT myself and for about 6 years after moving here, I would be seen year round wearing shorts and tee shirts. I couldn't stand being in the house with the heat on and even just the pilot light going on the furnace and hot water heater had me sweating. Than the 7th year came and everything changed and I was cold like everyone else that lives here year round and the shorts were exchanged for jeans and tee shirts for long sleeve shirts and jackets. My days of swimming in the Gulf in March and April were now in my past and it was like swimming in Long Island Sound in mid to late May.

I do enjoy this time of year for riding and this past summer was brutal, with daytime temps in the high 90's to low 100's, with the humidity in the 80's to 90's. The last thing I wanted to do was ride the Spyder in that kind of heat, so it sat most of the summer in the trailer during the hottest part of the day and only rode in the late afternoon and night and now its perfect weather to ryde day and night and looking forward to the colder weather until it begins to warm up again in May and another season begins with the now dreaded spring break starting in March and than a summer tourist season. How I hate that time of year for riding/driving at anytime.
