• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Topcase issues

Morning

I have an STL 2013 and having a issue with top cases. I know I need the bracket for any top case but I was told I need to purchase both the Sport Rack Kit( SKU#219400101) and the Passenger Back Rest( SKU#219400350). My question is ,wouldn't I just need the kit since the hardware is in that the case attaches to. My other question is to those that have a back rest does it cover the brake lights and if so how did you fix that ( moving it towards the rider so it is exposed or did you not have an issue. I was also thinking of having a bracket fabricated but not sure where to go. Any help would be greatly appreciated. TIA

There are two totally different models of top case for st/Rs---

The older style requires the 'sports rack' for the top case to clip on to (or backrest, but not both at once)

The updated style has the prong (for want of better description) which goes through the tail piece. But I think for this style you buy the backrest/prong and then clip the top box to that.

Hopefully an ebay search will help, but the two styles have caused some confusion...

yes BRP top case & required OEM mount is ridiculous price
The sports rack does not cover the lights but replaces the plastic cone between them
Thankfully some have made great alternatives IMG_3263.JPG IMG_3264.JPGIMG_5024.jpg

I personally use a Pakitrack(found a used & @ great price) IMG_5745.jpg after learning BRP does not offer to match color or keys at that price!

I went to look at the pictures and could not bring them up . I have been told that the bars on the side of my limited are part of the issues . I ended up just getting the passenger back rest ( ski #219400350 ) but was told it only works with the 33L can am top case ( I call BS on this) , I have seen others on this forum use different top cases from other manufactures. I would like to place a 56L on the back of the Spyder .

To see the pics:

If you're using Google Chrome, go to the three dots on the right side of the screen and click them. A drop down should appear. Hover your mouse over "More Tools," and when the next drop down appears, click on extensions. Go to the link towards the bottom that says "Get more extensions." In the search box, type "Photobucket Fix," and hit enter. Click the install button and once it's done, you should be able to see photobucket pictures again.

For FireFox users, click on the three bars on the right side of the screen, then click on add ons. Click search for "photobucket hotlink" and click install. Same result.

Once you do this, you should be able to see all posted pics hosted by PB.
