• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Wow Jack...you did everything!

Yep, a true adventurer. Can't stand to sit still. Many interests. Music, flying, boating, motorcycles, but then if you have lived this long and had a job with tons of time off it's not too hard. Always on the lookout for more excitement. Isn't that what life is all about? :joke: I'm not through yet.

Jack,Tell us about the time, that you were the photographer for the "Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition" :D

Which year Bob? :joke: Photographer for Playboy or Hustler would probably be more interesting! Have not had that call yet but if I do and turn it down you will be my first

recommendation. :D

I had my 2014RTSE-SE 6 at 80 mph, on a straight away, ( interstate) but I backed off on the throttle to take the exit.

I need my license. The ride was very smooth. Deanna

Well actually I did on occasion during the twelve years I raced for Kawasaki. But then I was young and foolish. Now I'm only foolish.

Don't tell anyone but even now on occasion I let the Badger loose.
:D

I grew up on a small dairy farm in Wisc--the Badger state---but the Honey Badger in that photo is different-- indestructible--another country --fights the poison snakes--gets bitten while killing the snake--passes out from the poison--wakes up--& eats the snake that bit it... There's a story about someone running a car over a badger in Wisc--they thought it was dead & threw it in their trunk---badger regains consciousness & rips his way thru the trunk & back seat & attacks the driver---that's the rumor.....

You get a merit badge for your Badger knowledge.:D I grew up on a Ranch in Wiggins CO. We had badgers and boy they are tuff critters. Never tangle with them--you will lose. Looks like the Honey Badger is every bit as tough and fearless. Saw a program on Animal Planet ( I watch animal planet with my dogs ;)) about them.

Just a little reminder, here in Arizona if caught going 25+ over the speed limit the state can confiscate your vehicle and drivers license. Eventually

you will get your license back but not the vehicle.

I've heard it said, that the Badger is sort of like the Wolverine's little brother... but with an equal attitude! nojoke

I have only heard ONE successful story of a dog attacking a badger... and living!

Top Speed

Hello to all. I'm new to the forum and about to pull the trigger on a 2015 F3-S. Has anyone topped this motor out ? what speeds can it reach
The theoretical top speed can be easily calculated. If you can do 60mph at 3500rpm then your top speed would be 120mph at 7000rpm. This is a good estimate because factors such as wind and terrain will affect actual results.

The same top speed as my partners 2011 RSS 191kph, which equates to around 118mph. And we still had a lot of straight road ahead. That was before I put my Blueridge Screen and Xcreen on.

Nobody ever said anything about getting near the redline...
With the bike in gear; it'll spin to 8100 rpm...
(It's limited to 7500 rpm, if it's in neutral)
My bike hits 2800 rpm at 55 mph.
If we divide redline, by actual rpm at a given mph (8100/2800); it gives us 2.893
multiply 55mph by that, and it should give us an idea as to what sort of speed it would touch at redline.
2.893x55 = 159.115 mph
