• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

top speed of the Ryker 900

A properly run-in 900 is capable of 108 MPH at ~8200 RPMs (no grade, no wind, elevation ~2,500 feet)
The decision between 600 and 900 should be based upon type of use.
I test rode a 600 when deciding to purchase a Ryker and expected it to be fine around the city, cruising level freeways.
However, a 900 may have better resale value (higher % of purchase price) and is better for
a. high speed passing
b. pulling long grades

The Ryker 600 is 50 HP @ 7300, idle 1100 RPM, 12:1 comp
The Ryker 900 is 82 HP @ 8000, idle 850 RPM, 11:1 comp

The bottom line is a 600 has a great price point and satisfaction likely based upon how it will be used: Great commuter.

No regrets buying a Ryker. Review in this link

Looking back, the main issues were high RPMs, fuel economy, belt life and dodging potholes with a triple track. Cornering was fantastic!

My current ride is a 900 cc parallel twin, 8 valves, liquid cooled.
Averages 61 MPG. Sometimes over 70 MPG, but only 55 MPG at 85 MPH+.

Thanks for the input. I am new to this and trying to learn as much as possible before buying.
The link was very helpful, you hear so many different things you don't know what to think.
Thanks again.
Now to sell my Harley XR1200.

Now to sell my Harley XR1200.

That is a rare bike, 2008-2012.
90 HP, 74 ft lbs from a 2 valve push rod Vtwin!

My 2002 Sportster 1200 Sport was only about 70 HP (stage 2), even with W grind cams and dual plug heads. I think it was the only bike I never top-ended. It would pull very strong to 110 in 4th...just never pushed it further in 5th.

Coming from an XR1200, I would expect that you would be happiest with the 900 Ryker.
