• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Well, I said "Here goes nothing" and proceeded to jump head first into the Farkle pond. Ordered a factory driver backrest which should be in later today and also got the Madstad 26" light grey windshield for my F3 Limited. I went on a ride both Friday and Saturday and noticed the buffeting I was still getting from my modified Goldwing windshield that put on to replace the factory one. My last 3 bikes have had a driver's backrest, why let this one go without.

Hi Acpd22,
This is Jerry with MadStad. I have noticed that you have ordered a 26" screen for your Spyder. I am just wondering as to why you went with such a large screen. If you wouldn't mind could you tell me your height and pants inseam. I just want to make sure that you have purchased the correct size screen for yourself. Please keep in mind that just one of the perks of having the MadStad is that we have designed it for the rider to look over the screen and not through it. Unless you are really tall I feel that the 26" screen may not work for you as we have designed it. Screens this tall are designed for riders 6'8" and taller.

Farkling is fun.....

.....unless your name is Bob Denman! In that case it is a dangerous pastime which can seriously affect
your health and probably your remaining time on the planet!! :roflblack:

CruzR Joe has to reward (bribe) his spouse with granite counter tops!LOL

( OK Kathy, I dropped the hint!!)

If you didn't get the newer backrest that is adjustable, you can order the add on part but it is TREMENDOUSLY better with that ability to adjust it... I know... I just got one a month ago and had dealer order the one with adjustability. Same price if ordered with it.

I bought my backrest in May 2016 and it was the adjustable one - I don't think the F3 one was ever non-adjustable. I seem to remember the RT one was originally fixed and then replaced with the adjustable one and there was an upgrade kit.

I've found the BRP backrest to be excellent and I would go as far to say it was worth the money for the OEM look. Riding without a windscreen the backrest helps stop it feeling like the wind is pushing me off the bike. Especiially at higher speeds............
