• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Today is the day

Some things I learned on this first ride of the season on the new :ani29:
1) I am so out of riding shape that the 140 miles was all I could do
2) I need to install a mud flap as the trailer is now covered in dirt:(
3) I am out of riding shape
4) I need to put LED lights in the mirriors so I can see if the blinkers are on
5) I am out of riding shape
6) I have to practice backing up with a trailer
7) Did I say that I am out of riding shape?
8) I am going to love this :spyder2:

Don't drive the new RT's or you will be in the same dog house as me:roflblack:

The wife has been looking at Spyders. She sorta laughed when she saw the new RT...just because it looks twice as big as my ST. Lol

I told her the extra size and comfort features is what I think sells them.

Only problem is no room in our garage for it and mine IS NOT moving out! Lol

I hear you on this. My situation is the reverse in that the ST was my wife's and I was riding my Harley. I convinced my wife to trade her ST in on the RT if I sold the Harley. I sold the Harley and we purchased the RT as well as the RT622 trailer. I have to turn the trailer sideways in order to get it and the RT in my garage. No way I could put another Spyder in.
My wife has not driven the new RT yet so if she doesn't like it I be looking for my own doghouse:yikes:

All I wants to is ride!

Enjoy, with the temps to 60 today all you will want to do ride. Give your fellow Minnesotans your feedback on the new rt.

cheers

Today IS the day! Ryding my 2014 RT L for the first time! Whohooooo

I think all of us in the cold tundra of Minnesota are happy about this ONE day! Great timing for PW2013STL for getting his RT L yesterday -- way to go!
Roads are dry, 60 degree forecast for TODAY ONLY....I'm going to ryde my 2014 RT L for the first time whohooooooooo
.........:yes::yes::yes::yes: (after church that is, praying for better weather).

Forecast drops like a rock and back in the 30's for the rest of the week - -ugh. Very little relief this winter - hate it. :banghead::banghead: It's been 168 days since it was 60 degrees here, but who's counting :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack: I think it was October 13, 2013....WOW :shocked::yikes::yikes:

What did you notice most about the RT, that made the decision so easy for you? ;)

Bob,

For me it was the extra storage + the possibility of lower rider temps that drove me to take the $ hit on trading in the ST. Going down to only one bike(Spyder) I wanted to be sure there was storage room for long trips. Of course the RT622 more then takes care of that.
If I had not been able to get the $20,000 trade in for my ST this would not of happened.
After yesterday's ride I sure am glad it did:yes::yes::yes:
